Lessons By Lily offers Horseback riding experiences for all ages, levels of riding and frequently that is comfortable for a rider! Whether you are visiting beautiful southwest Michigan on vacation looking for a fun adventure with the family or looking to truly excel in your sport of choice, you’ll need a great Horse Trainer to ensure a fantastic time! Pursuing the love of horses is something I’ve spent most of my life dedicated to. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to work with aspiring riders, at any level, from beginner to advanced to get them more comfortable, educated and more confident in the saddle than they've ever been before. I believe in building a relationship with your horse that reflects a partnership, that will go hand in hand with great sportsmanship. This, more than anything, is a direct reflection of my success as a Rider and Trainer. Lessons By Lily also offers pony parties!

DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN RIDING LEVEL TO TRAIN WITH LESSONS WITH LILY?

All walks of life are welcomed into my lesson program. Whether it’s your first time around a horse, or a weathered veteran, I’m here to ensure your success!

HAVE YOU WORKED WITH YOUNG CHILDREN?

Yes, In Fact many of the lessons I give are centered around young children and teaching them about the fantastic world of horses.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS?

Many trainers focus on training for competition. Although training for competition is offered and encouraged, I focus on the personal relationship of the horse, and rider. I seek to build a trusting and confident relationship with clear communication so that both rider and horse excel.

DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN ATHLETIC LEVEL TO TRAIN WITH LESSONS WITH LILY?

Horseback riding is a very physical sport. Like any sport there is always a beginning, so don’t let being out of shape or carrying a few extra pounds keep you from pursuing riding lessons! It will take time to build up the muscle and strength used for day to day riding. You do not need to be in shape to begin your lessons, you will however love the results gained from hard work and dedication!

WHAT IF I KNOW NOTHING? WILL I FEEL JUDGED WHEN TAKING LESSONS WITH LILY?

We truly welcome all people with any experience level. You will always be encouraged and uplifted at the barn and no one will ever judge you due to inexperience.

WHAT IS THE SPACE LIKE WE’LL BE DOING LESSONS IN?

Weather permitting lessons will be offered in either an indoor or outdoor arena, as well as many beautiful trails!

WHAT IF I’M ONLY INTERESTED IN HAVING TIME OR A TUNE UP ON MY HORSE?

I offer a variety of options for putting time on horses. Weather it’s a tune up or a completely green horse that is new too everything I can help create a training program to get the results your looking for.

If you are visiting southwest Michigan or are just looking for a fun experience Lessons By Lily has you covered! I offer one time experiences the whole family will love! I also have gift certificates available if you’d like to gift someone special!

🪅Make it a hit party or celebration with the addition of a horse or pony!

🦄This pony party package includes two hours of rental space to enjoy the celebration with chairs and tables provided, plenty of hands on pony time!! Kiddos will enjoy brushing and grooming, leading the ponies, plenty of props to take memorable pictures with, and of course riding time for up to 10 children, with additional adds on available at $10 per kiddo!

Two hour packages start at $450.

Additional time $50 per/hour not including add on activist cost.

Staff will assist in hand walking, and side walkers to ensure everyone’s as safe as possible. We recommend ages 3+ for the riding portion .

Every participant is required to have a signed waiver from parent or guardian. A PDF can be emailed prior to the party if any parents/guardians are unavailable to attend that day.

Under 18 years of age are required to wear a ASTM certified helmet whilst mounted (provided).

Close toed shoes are required.

Additional services may be booked if you’re interested in a pony painting activity or pony crafts!

“Paint a pony” is a very memorable and fun activity. This activity includes all the animal and kiddo safe paint and brushes, glitter if desired and gloves if parents would like them!

$10 per participant.

“Pony crafts” are a fun addition option as a birthday party activity that allows kiddos to make a craft and add a take home souvenir!

Choose from :

•Horse shoe dream catchers ($15 per kiddo)

•Ty Dy activities ($15 per kiddo)

•Paint a model horse ($10per kiddo)

Pony party gift bags!

•These bags have all goods in them, and all pony related! Stamps, brackets, stickers, crafts, friendship bracelets or other miscellaneous items of a similar nature. $10 per kiddo

Need a piñata? Tableware or decor,

Lessons by Lily is happy to provide at an additional cost: prices vary depending on size of group and selections made.

For those kiddos unsure they are about riding, we will include on the ground games, including: “boot scramble”

“Ride a stick horse race”

“Toss the apple”

As a Rider and trainer, I have become well-known and respected throughout the southwest Michigan area. After spending years riding and showing horses, I have been lucky enough to spend time with countless accomplished horse trainers, riders, and hobby enthusiasts. If there is one thing I have learned through the years it is that we, as horse riders, never stop learning. With an open mind you can learn something from anyone you spend time with, or around. I have developed my own unique and effective teaching methods from years of riding, competing, and training horses. I focus on your personal needs and goals as a rider, and will do everything in my power to ensure you leave the barn feeling accomplished and fulfilled!

PERSONAL SESSIONS

$50 for 1 hour

Personal trainings sessions are a great choice to improve your confidence and performance. One on one training sessions are a wonderful way to ensure target goals are met for both horse and rider. This time together will ensure your success in these goals and help to improve your overall riding success! If you’re looking to elevate your game, one on one lessons with Lily are for you.

GROUP TRAINING SESSIONS

$40 hour

Join this class, where I’ll teach you the ins and outs of the riding. I offer Personal Training Sessions year-round for clients of any age and experience level. It’s a great opportunity for those who would like to boost their performance, with measurable improvements during each session. See for yourself why Group Training Sessions are Also a great way to improve the time you spend in the saddle! Please note that group lessons often cover a wide variety of disciplines.
